Pre-Open/ Open Obedience & Retrieving Back
Class Description
For the competitor just starting to train the open exercises through the competitor polishing for the ring. The Class will be sections in to groups based on level of progress for each of the individual exercises. Those just starting at this level need not to know any of the open exercises but must have good off-leash control and know how to heel both on and off leash with distractions. Items covered in the class will be the drop on recall, position changes, retrieving both on the flat and over a jump and the broad jump. Those working on polishing for the ring must have a reliable retrieve, understanding of both jumps , know all 3 position changes and the drop on recall. The class will cover handling under ring pressure and distractions.
Prerequisite: You must have earned a minimum of 1 leg towards your AKC Companion Dog Title.
A Dog Crate is required at all classes

Competition Open Obedience Class
Class Description:
This class will focus on teaching the Open exercises used in The AKC Open Obedience class. Each week we will work on 2-3 exercises, and we will be working many of the exercises with a few different dogs and handlers in the ring.
Prerequisites: Your dog must have a reliable Retrieve and be able to work off lead with other dogs also off lead.
Equipment: You must have a dumbbell.
Dog Crate is required for this class
