MADTA Donations Committee

Statement of Purpose

The Donations Committee has been appointed by the MADTA Board of directors to collect names of organizations which qualify for receipt of donations from MADTA. This Committee also tracks incoming donations to assure that the donations are in compliance with IRS regulations. The Committee will collect the organization names and verify that established criteria have been met. The Committee will further vet the organization, in order to protect MADTA. These criteria will be reviewed, revised and expanded upon periodically as needed.  The criteria currently are as a follows:

Criteria For Selection may include the following:

  1.  The organization will be in the Club’s service area or surrounding areas.
  2.  A non-profit organization
  3.  Canine related
  4.  Youth Groups that promote a canine program for their members
  5.  Governmental: Police, Sheriff, Fire, etc.
  6.  A response due to an emergency

After review by the Committee, if a donation is determined to be appropriate, the request will be forwarded to the MADTA Board of Directors for final approval.

Members of the club will have input by suggesting the names of organizations that qualify according to the established criteria. Organizations themselves, may apply for consideration by completing the Donation form.
