Class Description:

Please note that Crates are mandatory for this class and dogs must be crated when not working.

Class Description:

This Competition Agility course is designed for handlers that are interested in learning the sport of agility and eventually competing, or handlers that are already competing but would like additional training.   In this course you will learn about the various obstacles that are used on an agility course: jumps, tunnels, dog walks, weave poles, A-frame and see-saw to name a few. Through the use of positive rewards, luring and targeting techniques to familiarize your dog with the obstacles, you and your dog will learn how to use the various types of agility equipment and gain confidence and proficiency.

You and your dog should have completed a basic obedience course and be able to do a basic sit, down, stay and recall.  Handlers must be able to do some running on the course.  Most agility dogs tend to be high prey drive but for the safety of all we require that the dog not be aggressive towards other canine teams and behave in this type of a group session.
